CLASS TIME: TUEDAYS 5- 6PM PST (CALIFORNIA)
WE WILL COVER THE BASIC TECHNIQUE'S TO ACHIEVE THE BEST FA'ARAPU PAIRED WITH STAMINA AND CHOREOGRAPHY DRILLS TO WORK THROUGH DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF THE STEP.

THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO ALL LEVELS OF DANCERS. CLASSES ARE HELD VIA ZOOM.COM ONLY. EACH CLASS IS RECORDED LIVE AND MADE AVAILABLE FOR REPLAY. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT EVERYONE CAN JOIN AT THEIR OWN CONVENIENCE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE LIVE IN CLASS IN ORDER TO JOIN THE COURSE.
ONCE SIGNED UP, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL EXPLAINING HOW TO ACCESS YOUR ZOOM INFORMATION/CLASS REPLAYS. CLASS REPLAYS WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST 1, 2023 BUT YOU MUST SIGN UP IN THE ENROLLMENT PERIOD IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS.

FAQ:
WHO CAN JOIN THIS COURSE?
The short answer is EVERYONE! All is welcome, no matter your age, cultural background, or level of experience. It is important to understand that this art comes from the Island of Tahiti and that the Fa'arapu is just 1 tiny part of the dance as a whole. We are using this 5 week course to improve on the Fa'arapu being it is one of the hardest steps to achieve.
DO I HAVE TO BE ON CAMERA DURING CLASS?
No, you do not. If you join us live, your camera is not required to be on BUT it is such a huge help to me, as your teacher, if you do. I am able to give advice to the students live and help make corrections. If you only take class via the recordings and desire feedback, you can always reach out to me via email or Facebook Messenger and I can help you out!
WHAT DO I WEAR FOR CLASS?
You will want to wear a lightweight athletic top paired with a rayon or cotton Pareu (sarong tied around the hips). Once signed up, I will provide links to online stores where you can purchase a pareu but you can always go to your nearest fabric store as well.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A ZOOM CLASS?
Being that the classes are live, the video will be in a lower quality. We may also encounter wi-fi and connections issues but I make a point to always make- up for whatever may happen. Please make sure the connection on your end is also strong in order to receive the best live class. For the students live with their camera on, please note you will be seen in the class recordings. If you do not want to be recorded, you may turn your camera off.
